Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

https://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4341 Using a Mega2560 board is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut - a small Nano board is all that's required. Use one of the blue AD9850 or AD9851 boards you can find on ebay or wherever, and hope that you get a good one. There are no bui...

Re: AD9850-ARDUINO Interconnect

There is no "Sync" pin on AD9850 or 9851 boards, but Trackgen still works fine with them, just as in 0.9a. At a guess, I'd say that Steve has been experimenting with other possible sig gen boards, and the mysterious "S" pin is just a left over from that. It may have a use in the future, but only tim...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

I've been looking a bit more at the problem, and it's not as straightforward as it first looked, eg starting at 50MHz centre frequency: At 50Mhz, max span is 20MHz (stops after 1 sweep at 50MHz). At 51MHz, max span is 10MHz (stops after 1 sweep at 20MHz). At 55MHz, max span is 10MHz (stops after 1 ...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

I've got the same experience, but it appears to be linked to the centre frequency chosen for the scan: Thanks for those figures. I'll have a look and see if I can reproduce the problem here. Hi Steve, I've been looking a bit more at the problem, and it's not as straightforward as it first looked, e...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

I am running into one issue if I use 20 MHz and above it will only run the capture partial of the band width. Each time I click on the band with it will start again but only get a partial or sometimes you can see it do a scan 1.5 times and stop. I am guessing I am missing a simple setting. Any idea...

Re: Spectrum Analyser - New release available soon

HI any update on the release of the software as its gone past the end of feb ? Just keen to get to try it . Thanks G8HAM Read the previous two messsages and look at the dates on them. I think the short answer is, "it will be ready when it's ready." We're all keen to play with the new version, but c...

Hi Steve - just curious as to how you're getting on with the new version. Any chance of a quick update?

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Hi Steve, Just changing the clock chip didn't do a lot initially, as I still had no control over the output frequency (and the waveforms suddenly became a lot like those from my blue board). When I checked the board more closely I found that pins D0 - D7 were just connected directly to the AD9851, a...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

I got my second AD9851 module (the green one) working today! I fitted a 30MHz 25ppm clock chip in place of the 125MHz one it came with (probably 50ppm), and did the D0+D1 and D2 mods to force it into serial mode, and it now works far better than I ever hoped. It's probably down to the board being la...
