Re: Why do my posts suddenly need moderator approval?

I am sorry to contradict the opinion expressed by Tech_ Support, whose position, with due respect, is simply untenable by way of logic. With the act of approval, Tech_Support officially endorses the judgement the post is fit for publication and therefore is not damaging the Forum Community in any se...

Re: Why do my posts suddenly need moderator approval?

I wish to examine here some practical consequences of the new preventive censorship policy, as they appear after a little more than one month after it has been applied. - There are problems when one has to correct/ amend his post. The correction has to be approved too, so in the time span it takes f...

Re: Why do my posts suddenly need moderator approval?

This is becoming a really interesting debate and I am glad our attention is focussed on life, rather than on radio, just for once! It is good we are allowed to carry on on this subject, I believe it will improve the spirit of our Community.

Re: Why do my posts suddenly need moderator approval?

Dear Tech_Support, I sincerely hope the forum situation has not deteriorated to the point that this reply, written in the spirit of constructive criticism , will not be published. I have simply expressed a negative opinion on this new forum policy, exactly as g1hb e expressed a positive opinion on t...

Re: Why do my posts suddenly need moderator approval?

The dignity of forum members is far more important than squabbles between disagreeing parties. The introduction and continued usage of prior censorship shows that forum members are not trusted by forum moderation and management. This is a big victory obtained by those whose interest was and is to de...

Re: Accessible SDR for blind users

Hi wb9rsq, thank you for your post that made all of us aware of a big problem with Sdr technology. Your mention on the usage of old, conventional equipment gave me the (perhaps impossible) idea that the easiest solution from a blind user standpoint would be to reproduce a mechanical environment inte...

Re: "Low Noise" Vertical Antennas for Receiving

But the worst problem of this design is the use of a transistor amplifier. This warrants a separate post. Even though not in the way intended by its designer, still the antenna will pick up some signal. In presence of strong local signals the amplifier will overload, producing any kind of intermodul...

Re: "Low Noise" Vertical Antennas for Receiving

Ernestyn, unfortunately this antenna does not deliver what it claims for many reasons. Since you did not get any replies, here I am with my modest opinion. - It is not a capacitive probe because of its form factor (very small surface) and because, as you rightly note, is referenced to ground. - the ...
