Unfortunately, unless the position data is located in the exact part of the acars message that multipsk expects it to be (or even the exact format), then it won't be read by multipsk. I've noticed quite a few positions slip past the program on a daily basis.

There is no advantage using a metal case due to the metal paint on the inside of the plastic case, however they look great. I have metal cases for my RSP1 and 1A. Really sets them off.

It is unusual to be getting static build up to that degree on a loop, generally random/long wire antennas can generate quite a bit which is always discharged to earth before it gets to the reciever. How is your set up earthed?
