Re: Trying to understand the SDR Play Specs
Dear Player, You are correct that the switchable LNA referred to in the documentation is the internal LNA on the MSi001. Also the external pre-amp that is designed to overcome the insertion loss of the RF pre-selection filters is always on. However, this pre-amp is not used in the HF bands. It is on...

Re: New Native plug-in for SDR# - "big" image problem
Dear Captain Nemo, It seems our friends at Airspy are releasing new changes to the native Radio interface on a daily basis, each of which unfortunately breaks the plugin for the RSP. it is their software and we respect the fact that they have a right to do as they please. In the meantime, we will co...

Re: SDR# End of support of the ExtIO interface?
Dear Hombre, We developed a new native plugin after the support for the ExtIO interface was dropped (the last version that supported ExtIO was 1361). The new native plugin was release yesterday and worked for versions 1400-1403. However, last night Airspy released a new version (1404) which includin...

Re: SDR# End of support of the ExtIO interface?
Dear Bob, This information is extremely interesting. I don't know if you are a Facebook user and if so are also a member of the following independent Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sdrplay/?fref=ts If so, would you mind posting this information there? There are a lot of users of the...

Re: ADS-B Support
Dear SJG1976, This is still very much part of our plans, but we have had a significant interruption in our development plans driven by the changes to SDR Sharp and the need to develop new software plugins to support the latest versions. As soon as we have news, we will be posting information and we ...

Re: New features requests
Dear Kc2rgw,
You should find it possible to use fractions of a PPM in the existing ExtIO control window. The native resolution of the synthesizer is approximately 20 PPB or 0.02 PPM.
Sincerely

Re: What is the actual minimum sample rate of ADC
Dear Jazzkutya, The minimum ADC sample rate without sample rate conversion in software is approximately 2.5 MS/s. The available IF bandwidths of the device (double sided) are: ZIF mode 200 KHz 300 KHz 600 KHz 1.536 MHz 5 MHz 6 MHz 7 MHz 8 MHz Low IF mode 200 KHz 300 KHz 600 KHz 1.536 MHz Sincerely S...

Re: 8 MHz bandwidth - is there a reason for this that can be explained?
Dear Broadband, The 8 MHz bandwidth (4 MHz in I and Q in ZIF mode = 8 MHz double sideband) is set by the analog filters on the RF tuner chip within the RSP. These are currently automatically calibrated, so as things stand, if you try to monitor 10 MHz of Spectrum, you will see attenuation at the ext...

Re: General SDR information
Dear Ton & David, The following thread discusses spurious FM images that result from the architectural use of a block converter to cover HF and frequencies from 250 - 420 MHz http://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=179 If either of you are Facebook users, this has also been discussed on...

Re: SDRPlay and Linx 8 tablet
Hello Ray,
Many thanks for this. This is a nice demo showing that the Linx 8 tablet makes a very viable mobile SDR platform, but the demo is with a RTL R820T2 based receiver and not with an SDRplay RSP
Sincerely
