Re: Virtual Trackgen

I have installed Version 1.0 Alpha and running on a RSP 2 works great. Now i have downloaded Virtual Trackgen and Com0com I have Virtual COM3 and COM4 on Win10/64 computer and running Virtual Trackgen in VS 2015. The GUI comes up and I can set COM3 in Trackgen and COM4 in Spectrum analyser . In the...

Re: RSP SPECTRUM ANALISER VER. 0.9 Vs. VER. 1.0

Hi Steve, I am happy (very!) to confirm that the Spectrum Analyser (tested at 5 MHz with generator) works perfectly well from - 70 dBm to + 10 dBm and the level shown is within 1 dB to that of my HP generator. How stupid of me not to think about this simple test before! It would have saved me from ...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

Hi Steve, I mean such a function by which the white trace becomes flat (0dB - reference line) so the yellow trace will be displayed in relative to the white one. This is because noise generators will not give out uniform output from 1kHz to 2GHz, and also we don't need absolute dBm readings when it...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here

1) Now I understand the function of "Ref - dBm". I contacted Tech Support, but as of this writing, they don't know the reason(s) why the RSPduo shows different spur level patterns, either. Anyhow, hope you and Tech Support will kindly work together to solve this issue for the next beta version. Hi ...

Re: RSP SPECTRUM ANALISER VER. 0.9 Vs. VER. 1.0

Hi Gianfranco I don't have a calibrated noise source available so I used my sig gen instead. At 10MHz centre frequency and at various spans from 20kHz to 10MHz, with signal levels varied from 0 to -120dBm, and with the reference level set appropriately for the input signal level, I saw no sign of sa...

Re: dBm accuracy

Hi First, I suggest you run SDRplay's radio - SDRuno and see what levels you get. Do they match your calculated levels, or are they the same levels you are seeing on the analyser ? There is some confusion with your figures. In your original post (this thread) you say that your measurement showed an ...

Re: AD9851 Tracking Generator board/schematics?

Hi. I too am late coming into the discussion for the tracking generator, like the first author. Again, is there some information on how to connect the AD9951 board or similar, with an Arduino board and subsequent control by a PC? I gather that the AD9951 is quite suited to doing frequency sweeps, u...

Re: Tracking generator info

I have been reading many posts on the tracking generator, but never a post giving a list of available info to build one and where to get the Arduino software. Can someone provide COMPLETE info? This could be very useful! Hi As per the manual :D The Trackgen firmware HEX files can be found in the an...

Re: RSP SPECTRUM ANALISER VER. 0.9 Vs. VER. 1.0

Hi Steve, Here below some general findings. Please forgive me if I did something wrong, but one must try to get acquainetd with this new machine, after all... 1) In the tested range 0.5 to 15 MHz the system seems to saturate at - 44 dBm, so care should be taken to keep input signals always below th...
