Re: OMNICOM issues, RSP2 to TS-590S

I do not have a TA-5905 so I am unable to verify or test the issue. However, I have connected the RSP2 with SDRuno to other devices and software using the serial port interface. I have found that using a serial port greater than serial port 8 can be an issue for compatibility for some applications a...

Re: RSP1a and dongle on one computer

With available software today, you can use the RSP1A to receive HRPT signals from Meteor M2 as well as the NOAA satellites. You will need a motorized tracking antenna mount or to track by hand. The software to apply for decoding the signal is the USA-Satcom XHRPT Decoder and David Taylor's ReadHRPT....

Re: Best baud rate for WX Sats

For what purpose are you looking for the baud rate? For example, if you are using a professional version of WXtoIMG and you wish to communicate using the Kenwood command set between the SDRuno and WXtoIMG so that WXtoIMG will control the frequency of the RSP1a, then apply the fastest baud rate avail...

Re: All images are black

If the incoming images being generated are all black as they come in, the issue is that the audio signal is not high enough or not being transferred from the RSP1a to WXtoIMG. Verify the audio level setting from SDRuno is at a high enough level and that the virtual audio loopback software is working...

Re: All images are black

It is likely not an issue with your RSP1a or setup. There is an issue within the WXtoIMG software itself (possibly being impacted by a Windows 10 update) that does what you describe. If you are describing that all of your previously saved .png weather images have gone black after being stored for se...

Re: Antenna Recommendation for L.E.O LRPT

There is an excellent article on the SDRPlay forum here for building a nice QFH antenna for APT and LRPT image reception. You can tell how well this antenna works from the images posted, which are quite good.

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

Rob, The "right side being lower" is referring to the position of the feed element, not the primary reflector. The polarization angle plus skew angle should look like this for GOES 16. Even though the specified polarization for GOES 16 is vertical, a diagonal position has been found to work better b...

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

It appears that supply vs demand (or possibly a new tariff) has increased the price on all major components originally listed in this article, since it was first posted. Perhaps as others find new low-cost solutions, these will be posted here. If you come across alternative viable antenna solutions,...
