Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

I am running with RSP1A, Win7 X64 and min Sweep Wide is 1Mhz. Any suggestion? As mentioned in the release notes, due to problems with the sweep system, sweep widths of less than 10KHz, and greater than 10MHz have been disabled. This issue will have been resolved for the next release. The current sy...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Didn't work at all at first, but after a bit of investigation found that my anti virus 'Bitdefender' was stopping it running as it was trying to make/amend a file in my protected directory C:\users\xxxx\rsp-sas spectrum analyser\specsettings. Gave permission and all running fine now. That's good to...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

I also had trouble running the program after installation like some of the previous posters. It seems there is some assumption about number formats making it crash immediately at startup. Setting my region to English/UK in the control panel before starting made it work for me. Probably a , vs . iss...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Hi Simon Yes, there is progress. Last night, Andy sent me the completed installation package for a final test. Everything went well so there is nothing more to do. It's now just a matter of waiting for SDRplay to make the analyser available in the downloads section. I have no idea how long that will...

Re: RSP-1 and SDRUno 1.23 and newer?

A major benefit of the switch to an API is that now I can access the full bandwidth (10 Mhz) of my RSP2 @ decimation=1. Prior to v1.23 I was limited to 4 Mhz. At 10 Mhz B/W, CPU usage runs about 14% with the API using about 5% for a total of 19%. Not bad at all. Thanks I noticed this as well. Previ...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Sweeps of 10MHz and less are pretty well carried out in real time, although there is some speed penalty at very narrow sweep widths due to having to run up to 262144 bins in the Fourier transform to achieve the narrow bandwidth resolutions needed. For example, a sweep width of 1KHZ, giving a spectra...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Hi All Just to let you know, Andy and Simon at SDRplay are currently giving the analyser a thorough test, including finding out what Windows platforms may have problems running it, and to make sure it works with all SDRplay products. They have already given me some invaluable feedback. In response t...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Hi All Just to let you know SDRplay have very kindly offered to host the software in their downloads section. I have to wait for Andy to get back from the states so he can set up an FTP link, then I can send the package up to them. He is not due back until around Wednesday and I suspect he will be q...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Hi Djani Thanks for the information. That looks like a very useful device, and, as you say, very easy to interface to. I've already had some other questions regarding this, so it's something I'll certainly consider. As I've already mentioned, the Analog Devices range of DDS signal generators availab...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly

Hi SV6IEP

Yes, it works with RSPI, RSPII and RSPIA. I have a few small problems I need to talk over with SDRplay early next week, then I should be able to release the alpha version. Keep a look out on this thread for further updates.
