You can find the German/English version of the MA305FT manual here online: https://hamradioshop.net/out/media/Manual_German.pdf

The manual explains cable connections and setup information.

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

The frequency of operation for GOES 15 LRIT is 1.691GHz and the frequency of operation for GOES 16 and 17 HRIT is 1.6941 GHz. The modification described in this post is only for the Premiertek ANT-GRID-24DBI antenna so that it will operate better in the target frequency range of 1.69 GHz rather than...

Success in contacting USA-Satcom has been accomplished using the Chrome browser and with Gmail e-mail accounts. That being said, you can follow USA-Satcom on Twitter and then USA-Satcom can direct message you. USA-Satcom on Twitter: https://twitter.com/usa_satcom?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Ese...

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

Rob, Some additional information for you to consider. The grid antenna choice was made for this post with careful research and a considerable amount of effort went into testing, modification, and seeing what worked well. The 1 meter diameter grid parabolic antennas, regardless of brand, typically em...

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

The point of this post is "low cost." An earlier post was provided that describes a Yagi Loop antenna that performs better and is for operation at 1.69 GHz. Refer to https://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewt ... f=5&t=2674

Re: HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System

The source e-mail address type may be an issue. For some reason there are e-mail accounts, such as Apple e-mail accounts, that do not work with the USA-Satcom site. GMail e-mail accounts are known to work to communicate on the USA-Satcom site.

Re: USB Extension ans RSP1A

I was fortunate enough to find a 50ft USB cable that worked very well. It had the active transceiver in the middle and a ferrite bead on each end. Recently, I went back to the same e-bay vendor to get another one and they sent one with the active transceiver at one end and no ferrite beads. Conseque...
