Re: Possible issue with dump1090 v1.45

Hi Mike, It sounds like the Dump1090 program has either crashed or been terminated. It must be running to feed tracking data to virtual radar server. You should be able to check it's status in task manager. Dump1090 continues to work after the window closes since I keep seeing planes on the map. I w...

Re: Possible issue with dump1090 v1.45

Thanks for this explanation. Of course, I first thought the window was hidden somewhere but it looks like it totally disappears. There may be a trick to make it appear again, but I don't know it ! To be honest, I don't need it once Virtual Radar is running but I was afraid to close the application w...

Re: Possible issue with dump1090 v1.45

Hello !

Am I the only one to notice this 'problem' ? It happened again yesterday after 15 to 20 minutes.
Is there another way to 'properly' close Dump1090, considering I can not use Control+C when the window is closed ?

Possible issue with dump1090 v1.45

Hi, I downloaded lastest SDRuno version as well as Dump1090 v1.45. Something weird happens when the latter has been running for about 15-20 minutes : its main window on a black background suddenly disappears (I was in front of the screen when it closed itself). but the program remains running. Then,...

Re: ADS-B questions (beginner)

Clear explanations, thanks !
maybe google search how to get that into other map systems?
I will indeed launch a search for this, unless a user can explain if it is possible.

Have a nice week-end,
Patrick

Re: ADS-B questions (beginner)

Thanks for the prompt and detailed reply. It indeed helped :D I had already read the ADS-B guide but I couldn't find the answers to my questions. About the map, my request was actually : is it possible to view the planes on Google Earth or Open Street Map INSTEAD OF the Virtual Radar Server map. The...

ADS-B questions (beginner)

Hi there, I'm about to test ADS-B reception for the 1st time ever, using my RSPduo. Some points are not clear though ... In Windows "Start Dump1090" menu, 4 options are available : 8 MHz mode interactive 8 MHz mode 2 MHz mode interactive 2 MHz mode Under what circumstances should either of these opt...

Re: Audio stuttering despite low CPU

I will have a closer look at it when back home. For sure, SDRuno is not involved because the stuttering also occurs when playing a clip on YouTube or a MP3 stored on the laptop. Yesterday, as the problem was occurring, I turned off the computer, then turned it back on immediately and everything was ...

Re: Audio stuttering despite low CPU

Thanks for these suggestions. I just checked the battery management, and it's already set to "high performance". As for the PSU, it's located as far as possible from the laptop (about 2m) and the RSP is at the other end of the room but maybe the original USB cable is not long enough ... I'm afraid I...
