The only version of gr-osmosdr that has SDRplay support in will be the official release as far as we know (http://sdr.osmocom.org/trac/wiki/GrOsmoSDR)

If you would like us to check a specific version, post the link and we'll confirm whether the support is there.

We have been informed by Mirics that under Windows XP, whilst the device will work correctly, surprise removal of the RSP may cause the PC to crash.

The safe way to remove the device is to power the PC down and remove the RSP once the machine has turned off.

We will try to replicate some of the issues you are seeing and report back here. We have to respect that the driver from Mirics is closed to protect their IP and work with what we have access to.
