Re: ALA1530LN and the tale of four NDB's

Hi, You could be getting coupling from nearby conductors, like house wiring, power lines, tower guy wires, or any other over head wires that form a ground loop. These will couple to the receiving loop, distorting the figure 8 pattern. I dont know what effect a hill side has. The loop antenna is not ...

Re: RSP1A Longwave sensitivity

Hi, Do mention dynamic range. I heard my first ham signal on 2200 meters yesterday, KD0VBR beacon, 900 miles away. Max power on 2200(137 khz) is one watt radiated. Not everyone can have a 900 ft wire antenna, its a half wave near 472 khz. The 1a needs an front end with some gain and selectivity. I a...

Re: RSP1A Longwave sensitivity

Hi

I have the the 1a.

I did a comparison with my Yeasu ft-540d, signals I can hear on the Yeasu are buried in the noise on the 1a, NDB 411 khz, BA.

Re: RSP1A Longwave sensitivity

Hi, Is the low Z input 50 ohms at LW or is it lower? I have the best signal with one turn secondary and 8 turns primary on a FT-87A-F toroid. That would make my antenna 50*64 = 3200 ohms, if the RSP1A input were 50 ohms. I also have a third winding with 18 turns to a 500 PF variable capacitor for tu...

Hi Franco I don't know why my last post dint show. I think every post has to be approved by a moderator? Ive never herd of that before. That makes things very slow, and well, censored . Yes, in Firefox localhost: 8073 has the waterfall, but its mostly noise, very little signal, if any. Some things n...

Re: cubicsdr

Hi Franco, i tried your suggestion. I had to reset my root password and then relearn use of the vi editor and got to the last line, python2 openwebrx.py and got this result in the terminal window: OpenWebRX - Open Source SDR Web App for Everyone! | for license see LICENSE file in the package _______...

Re: RSP1A Longwave sensitivity

Hi, I have a RSP1A, for about a week. I works OK on LW. WWVL is strong. I have a 700 ft wire antenna, grounded at the end. I made an impedance matching transformer which helped a lot. The antenna is high impedance, which was a surprise. I also have a parallel tuned circuit that I wound on the matchi...

Hi, I have the RSP1 and I installed CubicSDR on Linux Mint. I find the program to be lacking, no CW mode, many false images in the waterfall and poor side band reaction. Is there any other software that I can install. I see OpenWebRX supports SDRPlay, and it looks good on the web, but after followin...
