Re: Spectrum spy alternative
I've been hoping for a dedicated spectrum analyzer program with features similar to, say, an Instek GSP-810 spectrum analyzer. The RSP receivers are certainly capable of this without modification. Such would make the RSP a very good piece of test equipment. I already do measurements with SDRuno but ...

Re: Auto scanning and recording.
I've used an older version(v1.0.0.1361) of SDRSharp along with a scanner plugin for it with so-so results. It does work for casual scanning but offers none of the recording features which you mentioned. But I'll bet that Paul is right - the SDRuno scanner will likely be awesome!

Re: First month impressions RSP 1
Very good, sounds like you're getting along well with it :). I too have been active as an SWL since the 1960s, and a ham since 1977. Many receivers used here over the years, and none of them more versatile than the little SDRPlay. I find that controlling the gain (actually gain reduction) manually i...

Re: Zero vs Low IF
I use low IF on my RSP1 99% of the time. I really only use zero IF if I need to see more than about 1.5mhz of spectrum, which is rare for my needs. I personally have found very few situations in which zero IF yielded better listening.

Re: Very good for the money and no problems at all here.
I should add that I live within a basin, surrounded by (7) 10-20kw FM broadcast transmitters on top of the local mountains. There are also (4) 1-5kw AMBC transmitters here, with one of them just 2 mi. from me. With the RSP1 settings which I use as noted in the post above, I do not see any substantia...

Very good for the money and no problems at all here.
Hi All, I've been using the RSP1 for several months now and it works flawlessly here. I'm using HDSDR, SDRUno, SDR#, and SDR console v3. Each program has its advantages but I use HDSDR most of the time because its ultra stable and IMO has the most effective filtering. Antennas in use are a 130ft. ho...

Couple of SDRUno feature ideas :)
Hi everyone, I hope that this is the right place for this. SDRUno is a great and useful program, and the latest enhancements such as calibrated power reading etc. really make it shine as a spectrum analyzer. BUT, what would really round it out for spectrum analysis use would be a couple of features ...

Re: SDRSharper
Wow. From what I can see, SDRSharper is a FAR superior program as compared to SDRSharp. And more stable also. Too bad its development died. .
