Re: Shortwave Radio (aka HF 2000-30,000kHz)

My primary interest is digital. I love to search for and if possible, identify and decode digital signals. That's something that interests me as well, dsalomon, but I have to say, just getting started with it is daunting! Just the other night I managed to - finally - get a program, fldigi, to decod...

Re: Really basic question...

Ah, thanks. So I guess these other programs take advantage of the computer's multitasking capabilities and analyze the audio output from the SDRuno software concurrent to receiving and decoding it into audio. I would have guessed there might be a more direct way that software could take advantage of...

Really basic question...

I'm assuming there are add-ons that must do this. Where? Thanks for all the knowledge and wisdom you are ...

Re: Shortwave Radio (aka HF 2000-30,000kHz)

I've been an SWL since the 1960s. My first rig was a Heathkit receiver I had built. There were few signals about and electronic interference was minimal. Up to the point where I got the SDRPlay RSP1 I had a Radio Shack DX-390, but it was plagued by having to turn down the RF Gain to be able to rejec...

Sorry, I meant "reduce" the SR.

New to SDR, Quite Happy with the RSP1

I've been listening to radio for over 50 years, and from the first time I saw a waterfall display this past year I knew I had to have an SDR. Browsing WebSDR sites sufficed for a little while, but that has its limitations, not least of which it's someone else's radio spectrum a long way from home - ...

Re: Can't go above 1.5Mhz bandwidth or choppy audio

Try upping the sample rate (labeled "SR (MHz)" in the MAIN panel.
