Re: Beam steering and noise cancelling possible with RSPduo?
I'm very much hoping this is possible soon Me, too. But development goes slowly. Simon Brown announced several months a go he was planning to introduce noise cancelling/phasing by diversity in SDRConsole. But nothing happened so far. These people live in an exclusive environment, they do not know w...

Re: Mains noise
The standard situation is type a) (noise radiated from mains wires in the houses that surround you). You can do nothing against that type of noise, because... ... the neighbours do not understand why they are the jammers. You cannot persuade them to switch off the noise sources or use line filtering...

Re: magnetic loop and pre-amp?
Tuned loops have a high resonant circuit impedance. How is your loop matched to the RSP input? Are you using a high impedance FET source follower or some other matching network?

Re: Sett Menu: SAM mode settings
High pass frequency cutoff. Lower frequencies are suppressed in the audio playback. That is, you have more or less "bass" when e. g. listening to a music station. e. g. 50 Hz: for music, e. g. 300 Hz: for speech. This setting also works for AM and LSB, USB, not only for SAM. SAM/HP does not mean tha...

Re: Beam steering and noise cancelling possible with RSPduo?
Beam steering and especially noise cancelling with two coherent receivers is the only way to at least partly get rid of the RF noise coming from all the neighbouring houses. Hardware noise cancellors are only second choice because you cannot adjust phase and amplitude as precisely as with a software...

Beam steering and noise cancelling possible with RSPduo?
Does the new RSPduo in any software have the possibility to combine the two I/Q signals phase and amplitude adjustable in order to suppress local noise using two antennae? This way to fight against local noise is a big advantage with two channel coherent receivers. The Angelia/Orion boards together ...

Re: WIN 10 update clash
As Rob already mentioned Windows 10/1803 has changed permissions to access the recording devices of any soundcard in the system. Not only the microphone is affected. The word "microphone" is misleading, in fact all recordings devices are blocked unless apps are granted permission to use the micropho...

Re: Earthing/grounding of coax outer braid
When you have no other choice except tapping the coax cable, there are ground clamps available which seal the cable waterproof after application. They look somewhat like these: https://www.mauritz.de/en/lightning-protection/grounding-clamp-coaxial-cable-diameter-of-7mm-9mm http://www.pcs-electronics...

Re: Question for Heinrich, DanubeBCL
Yes Steve, you can control frequency and mode through DDE (LO and Tune). Contact mt@hdsdr.de for further info. The only thing I know about the HRD implementation is that the server name should be HRD_RADIO_000, the string for posting advise is HRD_CAT, the item for frequency (string in Hz) is HRD_HE...
