Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly
.....I won't be providing an interface to other SDR radios by using extio.dll, or any other means, so the analyser will be restricted to using the SDRplay range of radios only..... 73's - Steve Probably wise, because then it can be optimized for these radios. Also far less for you to keep track of ...

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly
I just thought of something else which would be helpful - direct access to the RSPx device control panel. Perhaps just a simple button to bring it up?

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly
Very good! As Phil said, no worries regarding the tracking generator. I use a broadband noise source and it works very well. Adjustable trace averaging (smoothing) perhaps with adjustable attack & decay such as SDR# uses would be most helpful when using a noise generator. As to the DC spike and poss...

Re: SDRUNO, OMNIRIG and TS990
Connect the RSP1A directly to your antenna and see if it receives signals. If it does, then make sure that the RX signal path from your TS-990 is reaching the RSP1A. Also, check the gain settings in the device control panel - in HDSDR, click on the "EXtIO" button to open said panel. From there you c...

Re: SDRUNO, OMNIRIG and TS990
I would ditch SDRUno and use HDSDR instead for this. Far simpler, easier to connect to Omnirig, etc.
Give it a try and see if it works.

Re: RSP Spectrum analyser software available shortly
Thank you Steve, this is very nice and would really unlock more of the potential uses for these receivers as test instruments. Looks very good and covers pretty much everything we here have been hoping for. My feature suggestions are simple (unless these things are already here and I missed them ). ...

Re: What *nix distro ? To build an SdR box
I’ll try it thanks. Win 7 ummm, never got above XP. Will need to look for some cracked Win7 installation media I suppose. Last windows I bought was a Sony Vaio in 2004. Previous to that was a Pentium 2 266Mhz backnin about 1992. Moved to a Mac Pro 1,3 Tower Twin Processor machine in 08, and still u...

Here are a couple of screen shots of one of the 160m loops, SDR-Console software was easiest to adjust for spectrum range and colour.
Cheers,

Very nice Phil, and those spectrum plots are so PURTY! . I'm off to take another look at SDR-Console for this.
