ADV Window With DC/IQ Button ?
ADV Window With DC/IQ Button ?
Hello,
I want to play with removing the center spike that I sometimes
see on the Spectrum. (have an RSP-2)
Read that there is a "DC/IQ button that when used in the ZeroIF
mode removes the dc spike" Says that it is in the ADV pop up window.
Where do I find and open this ADV window; can't seem to locate it ? (using vers. 1.31)
And, might someone give me a few hints on when one uses ZERO-IF or LOW-IF ? Pros and cons ?
As always, thanks for help,
B.

Re: ADV Window With DC/IQ Button ?
The spike appears in Zero IF. There is no spike when Lo IF selected.
Max bandwidth with Lo IF is 2MHZ and 10MHZ with Zero IF
That's about it, other than to say that there are a number of advantages to using Lo IF if you don't require the 10MHZ bandwidth at any givrn time.

If not, where do i pull it up from ?
Regards,
Bob

Re: ADV Window With DC/IQ Button ?
Sorry, I have never come across any reference to an ADV window.
Just for info, whilst it may very well be that you know far more about radio and electronics than myself (not too exactly unlikely), I don't know whether you have made use of the IQ recording function, but personally I find it quite an amazing, extremely useful function and very well worthwhile investigating if you haven't already done so.
If you are not familiar with it, it records the entire spectrum bandwidth selected, can be scheduled and the recording replayed as if it were "live."
The best of luck and have fun.

Re: ADV Window With DC/IQ Button ?
Hi Paul,
Thanks for help.
I have a xeroxed page on the ADV window. Unfortunately, iIm not sure where it
came from. It might be from a quite old vers., but i don't think so.
Anyway, it says:
"This is the ADV pop up window that controls certain RSP settings".
Then there is a pix of a window, with the upper info bar that says: SDRUno RSP Control.
It has buttons for:
IF BW
Dec
RSP SR
ADC SP
DC/IQ
Zero IF
LO Plan
DC Mode
REFRESH
Tracking
Just wondering if it still exists, where, or all of this has been incorporated in other windows for newer versions.
Regards,
Bob
