Errors when queuing output buffers

Post by vk4emm » Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:39 am

While using SDRuno, a window pops up with the message: "Errors when queuing output buffers".
Each time I close the window, a new window pops up with the same message, and the cycle goes on.
The only way that I can exit this cycle is to force close SDRuno and restart the computer.
I run SDRuno and send the audio to "vb virtual audio cable", then to WSJT-X for WSPR application.
Suggested solutions will be most welcome.

I got this same error yesterday. It happened when I switched users on my PC. I never logged out of the account that had SDRUno running. I simply switched users to the Admin account. When I logged off the Admin account and returned to the account that was running SDRUno I got this error. It's impossible to escape from this short of a forced shutdown of the offending program.
Could it be your PC is going into low power mode - aka Standby? Depending on your power settings some extreme things can occur - such as hard disks being powered down, the processor going into low power mode, etc. when the PC is unattended for a preset period of time.
For example in Windows 10 some of the default settings for 'Power Saver' mode are: Turn off the display after 5 minutes, put the computer to sleep after 10 minutes, turn off the hard disks after 20 minutes.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your response. I think our circumstances are similar.
In my case the PC runs 24/7 to continuously monitor WSPR transmissions. The power settings are configured accordingly - nothing stops.
So, I have no idea what triggers the problem, which has happened twice in the past week.

I'm sad to say that the same buffer error message keeps returning.
Perhaps my operating conditions are not too common.

This time the problem emerged when I logged in remotely.
My Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) prevents me from re-starting the remote computer, among other things.
So the only way I can get SDRuno, and other applications, up and running again is to take a 70 minute journey to a rural property.

For the avid API programmer, the error description is as follows.
"A problem caused this program to stop interacting with windows"
"Problem Event Name: AppHangB1"
"Application Name: SDRuno.exe"
"Application Version: 1.31.0.0"
"Hang Signature: 3582"
"Hang Type: 0"
"OS version 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48"
"Locale ID: 3081"

My computer is running on Win7 Pro

Meanwhile, I'm wondering if there is an alternative to SDRuno
Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Regards, John
