Using Windows resource monitor check the CPU usage of audiodg.exe. Here's a screenshot:

It should be showing very low or zero cpu usage, if it doesn't it could indicate driver or other problems.

Thanks Mike, I will check this Windows ressource monitor next time the problem occurs.
