Help with EX Contol options

Having fine results with SDRuno, and think it may become my SDR console of choice.

I did have some issues with receiving digital signals in Narrow FM and discovered some FM options in the EX Control window accessed from the RX Control window. Cannot find any explanation in the manual for FM options especially DEEM which when turned off seemed to solve my problems.
Are the FM options explained somewhere? All of the other options are familiar but not the FM ones.
