Hello,

Is Cubic the only program presently for the RSP-2 that will run directly on a Mac ? (without using Parallels or Bootcamp)

Thanks,
B.

I have been asking same for years and sadly it appears that the answer is still “yes”.

Hi,

Thanks for info.
Guess I'll have to learn Cubic.
Getting my unit this week.

I can play with the other Windows packages on my Mac using
Parallels and/or Bootcamp, but would much rather run it
directly on the Mac, with a program designed specifically for the Mac.

Do keep me in mind if you have any other
thoughts on this.

Regards,
Bob

Unfortunately, the current Linux & Mac software offerings for SDR use are way behind their Windows counterparts in terms of features, ease of installation, and overall performance.

I think that hardware & software developers are still concentrating most of their efforts where the large majority (82.88%) as of July 2018, are still at: Windows.

Nothing wrong with the other operating systems, I use Ubuntu 16.04 for a lot of things. But in the SDR arena, Windows has been king because commercial interests want to go where the money is and freeware developers want the larger user bases and wider range of software development tools......
