I'm new to forum. Have RSP1A. Works great on HF. Cannot get a thing out of it on VHF or UHF. Typically tune to airband freq here that I can receive on another radio. Nothing on the RSP1A. I'm sure I'm on the proper freq, AM. Could something be swamping it?

I would love to hear from anyone who is receiving air band, VHF and UHF.

There is no obvious reason for you to have any problems receiving VHF Air Band signals or signals in any other VHF or UHF Band. What software are you using? Can you post screen shots showing your settings? If you want, you can open up a support ticket at www.sdrplay.com/support but please ensure that you post screen shots showing all of your settings and also a description of your antenna setup

The most common cause of 'no reception' is confusion over MHz or kHz frequency entry. Make sure when you enter the airband frequency you are entering in MHz by pressing the blue MHz key (on the on-screen keyboard) or adding the extra digits in kHz. You'd be surprised just how often this error comes up!

High bands are typical FM and USB. AM is seldom used as far as I know.

Start with FM radiostations between 88-108MHz, then you know you are on the right track.

Why? These stations are easy to verify and are high-power.

Airband IS always AM, you should be able to hear lots of stuff between 118MHz and 136MHz.

OK guys. Thanks much. That was the problem, Mhz vs. Khz. It appears that one has to hold the Mhz key down while entering the freq? At least I do. Thanks very much, again, for helping me out.
