RSP2 and HDSDR

Post by StandingWave » Tue Feb 19, 2019 11:03 am

On Windows 7 I have installed HDSDR and EXTIO and am trying to use the "HDSDR with RSP2" shortcut which has the command line: C:\Program Files (x86)\HDSDRplay\HDSDR.exe" ExtIO_SDRplay_RSP2.dll. All I get is static?

Without the EXTIO parameter it works fine on my RTLSDR.

Ok, not sure why this worked, but I had the same issue with CubicSDR. On the CubicSDR website it gives the following advice:
**Note that SDRPlay requires either C:\Program Files\SDRplay\API\x64\mir_sdr_api.dll for win64 or C:\Program Files\SDRplay\API\x86\mir_sdr_api.dll for win32 to be copied to the CubicSDR installation directory ( C:\Program Files\CubicSDR by default) for Windows.
I copied mir_sdr_api.dll into C:\Program Files\CubicSDR directory as advised and CubicSDR now works. The bonus is that HDSDR also now works as well! The PC was re-booted before I did this, so its just possible that re-booting fixed it somehow but whatever it was its a bit of a mystery and it now works!
