RSP 2 and SDR Console lockup

Post by Rich » Sat Mar 02, 2019 5:17 pm

For a few months now I've not been able to get the RSP 2 to run properly with SDR Console v3 on Windows 10 machine Intel I 5 12g of ram etc...

Will start but then hang an freeze the program. Deleting SDR from the Registry will make it work again and apparently has something
to do with the AGC setting.Does it on multiple computers with Win 10 not just the one above.

Works fine with SDRuno.

This is a know problem so anyone have a good answer?

Thanks,

Rich

I have 2 Windows 10 computers (same version W10, same mother board etc), and this lockup happens on one of them from time to time, sometimes after a few minutes, other times after many hours. On the other PC it works fine.

Mike,

Thanks for the reply. Simon says it's in the API for SDR Console. So maybe someone will work it out some day.

Hello Rich,
We understand that Simon Brown says this (and genuinely believes it), but we use EXACTLY the same API in SDRuno and with HDSDR/dump1090 etc and we have no problems with it. He has stated publicly that we have confirmed the problem with the API, but this is NOT the case.

Sincerely

Good to know as I had read the same comment by him multiple times and wondered why the SDRplay team was not looking for a fix. No problem, no fix.

Thanks,
Rich, WD3C
