Re: Android SU root required

Hi
I had no problem on 3 devices one of them seems not to be rooted as it refused to work for that reason with some other software.
Have you tried with an RTL dongle ?

Re: TempestSDR

This seems totally useless to me.
Best way to do that is to put a camera in front of the display.
It will actually capture the electromagnetic radiation (light) emanating from it with very little interference.

Re: SWL longwire antenna

Hi I found that the toroid transformer helps a lot in noise reduction and avoid having a a long exposed wire straight into the RSP. I use toroids salvaged from energy saving fluorescent lamps. Grounding the coaxial near the toroid seems useless in fact it makes a ground loop with the computer power ...

Re: Anyone tried mobile use?

I too would recommend a Window tablet .
No way to receive DAB ,DRM,DVBT with an Android one software choice is too small.

Re: SDRplay Ghost signals

My guess is that in most cases it should be at least 40dB stronger and this is not a bad result Hi glad you had an improvement It seems that ,as far as DAB signals around 60Mhz are concerned, I was a bit optimist in the above statement. DAB is rather weak here but reception is only attenuated by 15...

Re: SDRplay Ghost signals

I expected the quality of the SdrPlay to be equal to the Perseus but unfortunately that to turned out not to be right. Hi But the price and the frequency range are not the same :) One very simple test that can easily be done is this: Tune to the spurious signal and lower the gain to have it barely ...

Re: SDRPlay and DRM

Sorry it seems you are on a Mac and I'm not at all experienced with that. A few tips anyway: For DRM to work you need at least a 10 KHz wide audio signal this can be hard to obtain in SSB depending of the software used One good reason for Dream not working is an inverted signal so try LSB too . On a...

Re: Last Sdr Touch for Android

Since my last message I successfully installed the SDRplay Android driver on this: http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_187681.html?wid=3 This device also allows the use of SDRplay when booting Win 10 One tip I found useful ,being new to Android, is using "Total Commander" to clone an installed...

Re: SDR Touch device compatibility

Hi
It seems you had no luck :D
There is already a list of compatible devices here:
http://sdrtouch.com/
I had great success on all the AC powered Android devices I tried .
I have very little experience on portable devices beware of power supply problems.

Re: SDRPlay TCXO?

Instead of incorporating a TCXO I think it would be more useful to allow the use of
an external 24 Mhz reference.
It would allow having several SDRplay in perfect sync.
May be also receiving a known reference signal and locking the 24MHz to it for use by other devices.
