Re: wav file recording
It would be great if SDRUno also included a record function that allowed you to record the current audio on the current frequency to a wav file. Maybe one day. I am not a programmer so I don't know the implications of adding such features. All this aside, you can still record audio from SDRuno with ...

Electric Fences
Does anyone have an effective solution (apart from turning it off!) to rid ones self of electric fence 'ticks'. Unfortunately one of the downsides to being on a farm with lots of space is typically lots of electric fences, miles of the damn things. I believe this is a pretty beastly unit at around 8...

Re: DCF 77 77.5KHZ
I am glad you wish to experiment antennas for lower frequency reception from far away. If you experiment with the Langford antenna, very easy and simple and cheap to make look up the post of SDRguy22 in this section we can get your results in reception and then make more perfection to complete capa...

Re: ADS-B very poor reception - Why ?
Patrick; I have never used SDRuno in conjuntions with Dump1090. Just merely monitored the squitter's with SDRuno. For ADS-B I run dedicated RPI's and Dump1090. As like Mike, I have also done tests with very average antennas. My first ADS-B antenna was a SO-239 chassis socket, with a 1/4 wave-length ...

Re: DCF 77 77.5KHZ
Thanks to those who replied. Space - As I said previously, not really any issue. Noise - Again not an issue. Height - Only problem as previously said. Should I look at a vertical antenna, or is horizontal sufficient. Keep in mind the goal is to receive some European LW broadcast stations, if at all...

Re: ADS-B very poor reception - Why ?
I guess the first question that should be asked is if you were in a high traffic area for planes? Secondly, of the antennas you were using, a log periodic would be directional. The co-linear may not have been the best choice at such a high elevation either. As it would have a reasonably flat angle o...

Re: Difference between Rpi 3 and Rpi4?
As Andy stated it really depends on what your wanting to do on it. ADS-B/AIS, Web/FTP server, VHF/UHF RX with a dongle and something like GQRX - RPi will do all these without any problems. Unless you are running CPU/Memory intensive programs, then the RPi4 might be a bit of overkill. Also note with ...

Re: DCF 77 77.5KHZ
I am very interested in having a crack at this, plus other long-wave broadcasters that are still in transmit mode. Before I go onto my questions, I will provide some info that may be relevant to the whole gig: I am in a rural country area. Nil power line noise, as all the incoming power lines are ro...

Re: SDRplay transceiver?
There are at least three (that I know of) SDR Transceivers that are currently on the market for around $600-700. Would be pretty hard to beat that kind of pricing. The two most recent entries seem to be of reasonable quality - although I don't own one.
