Memory Bank Column SubM

What is the column titled "SubM" in a memory bank channel for. There's no reference in the manual as to what it means but it is shown in a graphic. Thanks.

Re: SDRPlay and GQRX

After another few hours bashing the keyboard and consuming copious amounts of coffee, I finally have working Ubuntu installation with GQRx and SDRPlay. What I did in desperation was to download the generic GQRx binary package from the GQRx website, unzip it and start GQRx using the executable in tha...

SDRPlay and GQRX

I have a laptop with a new installation of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and want to install GQRx to drive reception from my RSP2. I have followed some installation guides starting with the SDRPlay API for 'non windows' followed by some very ambiguous guides around the pre-requisites such as GNU Radio, gr-osmosd...

Re: What do you run with SDRuno?

With SDRUno and my RSP2 I use MultiPSK via a Realtek audio mixer to decode SELCAL codes. I also use MultiPSK with all other software as it's the only SELCAL decoder that works and has a shifter for the AF view.

Re: SDRUno recording settings?

If your signal of interest is 7012kHz and you are using a 2MHz bandwidth you could place the LO at say 6500kHz, well out of the way, although I guess if the LO were placed at 7000kHz you'd get the same result. Just put the LO a few kHz away from your SOI and you should be good. This applies to all t...

Re: RSP2pro vs cheap RTL ?

I'm going to jump in here and echo the findings of @wireman. I'm only talking here about HF frequencies but I found that the RSP2 yielded little if any difference to my sight or ears versus a v3 RTL-SDR. As an experienced HF listener dx'ing aero I've had a few receivers in my lifetime but nothing re...

Re: RSP2 Recording

Panic over! I was trying to record to a networked share and even though I have a full 100Mbps network the final leg was from my router to a USB2.0 device where all my home networked files reside. Even though I would have thought the throughput rate would sustain a recording at 200kHz bandwidth perha...

Re: RSP2 Recording

I should add that the subsequent recordings also stutters which makes one half of my use for the RSP2 a bit fruitless.

I did another test at VHF and just 200kHz but got the same result as my first posting.
