Re: Drivers detected as virus
Same here. Windows Defender quarantined both the Uno installer and the XTIO Installer on August 30. Reported to be infected with Trojan:Win32/Rundas.B . The files have been stored on my PC for a couple months. Likely a false positive. Not surprising since Microsoft can't even keep a PC's clock updat...

Re: Windows 10 professional & SDRUno
I'd like to clarify my last post. SDRPlay won't appear in DevMan (as an active device) if it is not currently connected to the PC. But by enabling 'Show Hidden Devices' (in DevMan's view menu) any previous instances will be listed. This feature can be helpful in troubleshooting - it acts as a way to...

Re: Windows 10 professional & SDRUno
Check to confirm that the SDRPlay (RSP2) is being reported in Device Manager. You will find it listed under 'Sound, video and game controllers' in DevMan. If not, then the driver install failed.
I use SDRUno on a Win10Pro (64 bit) machine with no serious issues.

Re: WX Sat Reception Question
I usually leave AGC off - it doesn't seem to make much difference. The LNA gain is something you'll have to tinker with. I usually have it set to maximum but back it off one click if there is any overload. I also have an inline LNA mounted at the antenna - It's a Radio Shack TV antenna signal booster.

Re: WX Sat Reception Question
It sounds like sound enhancement is enabled in your soundcard. It is enabled by default on some systems. I have a Creative soundcard, on it the special effects are called EAX effects. They must be disabled when decoding FAX or any other digital signals. There is a level meter on the lower right side...

I use the FM-MFM filters - 30, 36, 38 & 48K for NOAA APT.The 48K filter can be narrowed to 40K in the SP2 Window.

Re: SDRuno WispDDE Orbitron
Often I must deselect the "Enable & Connect" checkbox in SDRUno, then reselect it. Only then will WinDDE talk to SDRUno even though SDRUno indicates a connection. It will work until I shutdown the computer, then on restart the above procedure will get comms going. This is likely due to the freeware ...

Re: NDB reception
It's been a long time since I've listened to NDBs, but perhaps I can help. If there are any within a 50km radius of your location they should be readable 24 hours a day. Otherwise listen after dark. Using sideband or cw mode will help pick the carrier out of the noise, as it can detect signals that ...
