Local interference cancellation with the RSPduo and SDRuno

We have put a short video together illustrating how the RSPduo may be used together the new diversity function in release 1.32 of SDRuno to mitigate the effects of local electrical interference on a medium wave AM station. The video may be viewed on our Youtube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: sdrplay duo and uhf

Hello Andy, There is a bit of a problem with scanning the Mil-Air band from with SDRuno. As you have pointed out, the architecture of the RSPs makes them vulnerable to DAB images in areas where there are strong DAB transmissions. The DAB filter implemented in the RSP1A and RSPduo has been effective ...

Forum Moderation

Until today, new users had their first few posts actively moderated as a way of preventing malicious users or posters of spam from getting access to this forum. Unfortunately, because of the behaviour of a small number of users who have repeatedly ignored requests to keep posts on topic and avoid in...

Re: AM Broadcast Stations on 22 MHz

I have an RSP2, which I brought about a year or two ago, can't recall precisely right now. Re MW on 22MHz, it was purely operator error, I had the receiver in Zero IF mode, once I click Low IF all was good. Since you are tech support, you may be able to answer a question that has eluded me ever sin...

Re: AM Broadcast Stations on 22 MHz

I would be surprised if you see this on the RSP1A or RSPduo. Overload/IMD performance below 30 MHz for these devices was improved considerably when compared to the RSP2. People often talk about the performance of "the SDRplay", but all devices do behave differently and the design has been improved c...

Re: adjust bandwidth for WFM

In all modes apart from SWFM, audio limiters prevent the audio level from overloading the audio DACs. In SWFM, these are disabled because of the need to decode the RDS and stereo signals (which appear in the demodulated audio path) and so of you have the volume slider set above 50%, you risk audio c...

Re: A FOOLPROOF ANTENNA SWITCH

Once again, I have had to delete posts that I feel are inflammatory or likely to raise personal tensions. It is a great pity because this debate has been interesting and informative and in my view it is more educational when people are not actually all agreeing. Debate and disagreement feeds new kno...

Noise cancellation with SDRuno V1.32

Here is a great example of how Release 1.32 can be used for local noise cancellation: https://youtu.be/2ptiTxU2wMU The user uses a LZ1AQ active loop which is connected to Tuner 1 of RSPduo, and a active whip connected to Tuner 2. The two antennas are placed 5m apart. Note that the Auto mode is NOT d...
