Test tones on BBC VHF FM stations.

I don't suppose there were many people listening to the BBC on VHF in the early hours of this morning, but I was surprised to hear programming interrupted without warning by a series of audio test tones. One of the tones was really low frequency, but came through well on my HiFi. Was it a one off? O...

Re: Operator error??

Operator error is definitely me at the moment. I use Linux usually, but I'm suffering Windows 7 for SDRUno. I forget I have to click a window before the scroll wheel works there. I adjust RF gain and just hover over where I'm tuned and scroll a bit to QSY and the RF gain gets adjusted because that d...

Re: Help with install

Hoping you get help soon. Just a thought in the meantime. There are a lot of us in the same (or similar) boat. I certainly don't want to run Windows, but iRacing made me buy Windows 7 and SDRUno made me move my game PC to where I can run and operate Uno on it. I'd use Linux for everything if I could...

Re: SDRuno suggestions...

Thanks for that Noel. I don't have a keyboard on my Windows PC, so I would never have found that, except I did eventually notice the "Default Workspace" text in the Main dialog was clickable and workspaces could be loaded that way. I'll keep the virtual keyboard on the desktop. It's useful for Print...

Re: RSP2 and Linux

Would be good if the wxWidgets step could be simplified to just a package add. I had a bit of trouble with it on Mint-18, and others may give up if they face the same difficulty. It may have been because our instructions were based on those for the RTL-SDR and maybe that needs a static build of it, ...

Re: A Way To Save Settings PLease

On the VFOA/LO relationship; after tuning around in various ways, it annoyed me that I had some odd setting indicated for LO. Tried all sorts to get them matching and eventually found how and was thinking it needs a button for that. Was neat to tune with both numbers the same, until I noticed the pr...

Re: SDRuno suggestions...

I've only had mine a few days and I only managed to use it for a few hours last night, so it may be that I'm missing some things which are fixed somehow. First shock was that the 'main sp' window is size limited. I want it full screen which is 2560x1440. Actually that was the second shock. First was...

Re: The old and the new :).

Thread has me thinking of radios I've used. I can go back a long way. My first job was in a radio and TV shop and I wasn't there long before I came home with an old 'console' radio. I don't remember its make, but it had mains energised speakers and I think it was a TRF rather than Superhet.. It cert...

Re: HDSDR visualtization with RSP2

I think the slider you need is just to the right of the red word Waterfall. Its tooltip says "Set 'RF Spectrum' SCALING".
