Re: SDR API evaluation tool
I''m following your clear guide and also I''m trying with values in "Mirics SDR API Specification.pdf" page 10\n"... err = mir_sdr_Init(newGr, 2.048, 222.064, mir_sdr_BW_1_536, mir_sdr_IF_Zero, &sps); ..."\nwhere newGR=40 etc. etc. etc. \nso I input in the tool\n---> Frequency (MHz) 222.064\n---> Ga...

Re: Frequency coverage
Hi JMG.\n\nJon is right in his comments above, the units cannot be modified to cover the 400MHz frequency band as it is a function of the tuner VCO coverage that is the limiting factor. As you can see from the comment above to get coverage at 400MHz you would need a slow device. I have identified so...

Re: Frequency coverage
Alas no. \n\nIn practice there will be some coverage close to 400MHz but exactly what will depend on the specific chip in your device. This specification comes from the VCO coverage over process variation and reflects the worst case coverage scenario, so our guaranteed range is derived from this. Mo...

Re: SDRPlay - Future Plans
There is firmware that runs on the MSi2500. This mainly runs the core USB functions on the receiver. The firmware is downloaded to the device by the driver when it is first plugged in. I don’t see that firmware changing much although if it needs to it will be done as an upgrade to the driver so ye...

Re: SDRPlay - Future Plans
Is the firmware on-board SDRplay "upgradable" like Funcube Pro+ ?\nWill you release firmware upgrade in the future, as you find bugs or enhancements?\n
