Shielding for RSP2

I bought the RSP2 which comes with a plastic case. The user manual says it is a shielded case so I guess it has some kind of metal paint inside? But does it need a metal case for better performance?

There is no advantage using a metal case due to the metal paint on the inside of the plastic case, however they look great. I have metal cases for my RSP1 and 1A. Really sets them off.
