ADC Overload In UNO Version 2.2

Post by W9KJO » Wed Jul 25, 2018 1:22 am

For the first time in the few years I have been using the SDRPlay 1 & 1A the ADC Overload came up. Could not figure out why or how to adjust it out. I ended up restarting the software and the warning went away.

Could someone explain why ADC Overload comes up and what to do when it comes up?

Thanks

ADC Overload means the ADC is getting too much signal. Couple of ways to work around it. Best way is to turn down the RF Gain until the Warning goes away. You can also narrow the bandwidth so you do not get as much signal from adjacent bands of adjacent signals.

Sounds like maybe your antenna degraded (noise floor has came up, or you have a strong signal that has came on and now overloading the ADC.
