Wonder if anyone has tried the spectrum analyzer software on WinXP-Pro-SP3? Yes I know it is really old, but I am fairly poor and that is what I have to work with. I got an RSP2 for Christmas and, so far, have not found it very useful. Too hard to operate the SDRUno software, I need really simple. I was hoping to use the spectrum analyzer to see what kind of RF noise my PIC ucontroller projects were creating. Downloaded the program which installed but then says not a valid win32 app. Any thoughts?

This can happen when the executable's installation is corrupted by a disk write error or some other source of corruption (such as malware).

And, by the way. I hope you don't have your XP machine connected to the internet.

Rather than SDRUno, try using HDSDR with Windows XP. Much simpler interface than SDRUno, and works well with Windows XP. It is available in the downloads section on the SDRPlay site here: https://www.sdrplay.com/downloads/. There is also an updated beta version available on the HDSDR website. Perhaps that will work better for you.
