Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
Yaesu FT991A + Omni-Rig + HRD - PTT keying after about 30 seconds by itself.
Rig
Yaesu FT991A - Latest v2 firmware
HRD - Latest rev
Connected to PC via USB cable
Omnirig - Set to Com4 to control FT991A
Virtual Serial Port Emulator - Setup Com Port Pair (Com 10 and 11) - Port show "Ready"
SDRuno 1.22 - Connected Main window to OmniRig com 4 - Shows Online
SDRuno + Omni-Rig works fine.
SDRuno + Omni-Rig + HRD on Com 11 - drops the connection and invokes PTT.
Tried a combination of DTR/RTS on Omni-Rig and HRD. Can't find the right combination. Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
I assume you are using Omni-Rig to connect to your Yaesu and SDRuno is connected to OmniRig.
Then you connect HRD to SDRuno via the COM port pair 10/11 via the CAT port on SDRuno.
Here are the settings in HRD. I find the Kenwood TS-440S gives the best performance. Leave RTS, CTS, DT unchecked

Yep, I am currently connecting SDRuno CAT to Com 10 and HRD to Com 11. No CTS, DTR. It's a pair, but I will try connecting SDR to Com 11 and HRD to Com 10 and see if any difference.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
SDRUno Version: Rel. 1.22
HRD Version: 6.4.0.902
Radio: Yaesu FTDX 3000
I have a different issue I have the system setup as instructed in the video "Using Ham Radio Deluxe with SDRuno (AN008)" the issue is that HRD loads and sees the VFO frequency, on initial load, however if I change the frequency on either HRD, SDRUno or on the radio itself HRD does nothing. If I make a change in frequency in HRD it changes but SDRUno nor the radio changes. The frequency changes as it should in SDRUno and is reflected in the radio if I change VFO on SDRuno. Then after about 30 seconds, the radio will go into TX on its own.
SDRUno and the radio works as expected with no issues.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
You need to configure HRD to communicate with SDRuno using the Kenwood protocol (not Yaesu) as shown in my post above and detailed in the SDRplay appnote AN008 http://www.sdrplay.com/docs/HRDandSDRuno.pdf.
In summary HRD <---> Kenwood Protocol <---> SDRuno <---> Yaesu Protocol <---> Yaesu Radio

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
Thanks for the reply, I thought that was just the radio you were using. Works great now.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
Well, I thought I understood the controlling order. HRD controls SDRuno, SDRuno controls Omnirig and Omnirig controls my FT450D. Changing either HRD or SDRuno change each other but not the 450D. 450 is selected in Omnirig but not sure what port. It used to be port 6. That doesn't work. Any idea which port? I tried 10. Will continue to try others.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
Thanks Roger. The first link appears to address the MFJ t/r switch not the SDRuno and HRD, omnifig issue.

Re: Controlling your RSP and Radio with Ham Radio Deluxe
Well, after things were working happily together. HRD, SDRuno, Omnirig and my FT450D. They stopped working together, once I shut them down and started up again. My question is: does the order in which each device or program is loaded make any difference? Another question is baud rate. I set the 450D at 9600, Omnirig at 9600, not sure where to set HRD or SDRuno. Thanks
