lots of loops
Unfortunately not everyone can put up wire antennas. There may be little space, or restrictions because of condo or flat (apartment) issues or just too much noise. Loops can be a help as they are a lot less sensitive to man made noise. Many can, on lower frequencies (such as MW or LW, actually null out one station in favor of another.
This wiki article from the RadioReference wiki supplies links to numerous loops. Here in the US, the W6LVP loops, which cost less than the Wellbrooks or Pixel, have become quite popular, and the customer support is outstanding.

For many in urban areas, loops are a superior choice.
